Yesterday, I was in my car driving as I heard the news via twitter that Michael Jackson had passed away. Words cannot express the utter shock that myself, and the whole entire world felt. I'm actually still in shock. I never imagine one's time of leaving this world, but I just thought I would be much older when I heard this heart-breaking news. Michael Jackson was an icon that I think everyone wanted to believe was immortal. His musical influence was touched by the culture he helped bring into existence not only in pop music but in hip hop from the likes of De La Soul, NaS, Jay-z and Kanye West. He was a brilliant entertainer, sold over 750 MILLION RECORDS. I repeat, over 750 MILLION RECORDS! This universal appeal that he had brought together all ages, and race. Aside from the music he had the commercials, a feature at Disney's Epcot, Sega Genesis video game, movies, and even an amusement park at his house. No matter if you listened to his music or not, you still respected and knew who Michael was. I have never felt so saddened by an entertainer's death before. Getting older gets harder everyday...especially when you have to witness everyone that has ever influenced you leave this earth. I am very blessed to have grown up on his music, and a world without Michael is such a sad day in history. We can only hope that he is at peace, and in his Peter Pan dream. His music, and style will live on forever.
P.s- Fuck all of the news networks and Perez Hilton for using his legacy in an ill manner. Show some goddamn respect to him, his family, and his fans.

its evident the effect that Mike's life had on our generation, the previous generatino, and generations that follow; but nothing is more astounding than the reach he had around the WORLD! Today his face covers newspapers and magazines printed in every language from german to french to swahili. there will never be another legend/icon who could ever dream of filling shoes of that capacity! It's like my world just fell apart. To me he was so Supernatural. It's like, I just felt like he would always be there in the physical sense. I'm still saddened. There will never be another ambassador of Love who represented the word to it's fullest extent like Michael. And I'm gonna miss this dude.
So true mann... the world will never be the same. MUSIC will never be the same. DANCE will never be the same. RIP to the legendary MJ & blessings to his family.
