For The Love Of Hip Hop

So after knowing that Final OutlaW just came off tour in the west coast with Homeboy Sandman he still made the effort to give other dope artists a chance to rock the stage along side him this past week. 'For The Love Of Hip Hop' showcase was put together by himself and Ju Invictus at Voodoo Lounge in New York City. I think it’s great when aspiring artists such as Final OutlaW don’t forget where they come from especially when their doing bigger things than most. It’s always important to stay humble.
We don’t need another Kanye--thanks. Being around this environment I’ve come across a lot of ‘diva-like’ attitudes so, here’s a line for you:

‘It’s not hot, it’s not cute. It’s not getting you anywhere and it’s about to get you fired so, calm it down’!-Murs

It was a great turn out (besides the a/c not working and the mics cutting off.) DJ Sosa was on the turntables dropping the beats. There was also, an open mic held in the beginning and at the end of the showcase with emcees like Warren Britt, HiJynx, OISD, Hydro, Premonition, Jermaine, Desperado Soul, Hypnotic, Mr. Beats, So Soon, and Super King Armor. Prezzure had the crowd hyped as soon as he hit the stage he also brought Niles on stage for a track. Kalil Kash had a bit of technical difficulties with his mic as did everyone but he made sure that the crowd still heard his words. Along his side was TopDollaRaz and they had a special treat for the fans bringing J. Monopoly to perform their new single off of Blac Deniro, 'Right In The Kissah' (click here to download http://bit.ly/cyQzO.) Wordspit hit us with a great performance and by the end of his set his shirt was off (see ladies, it's not all about the love of hip hop, JUST KIDDING.) Cyphers were taking place outside due to the desert like feeling inside but the showcase turned out to be a pretty good night in hip hop.

*Shout out to all the new faces I met.
