iHEART TRACK OF THE WEEK

The Queens artist OTiS CLaPP says this song was inspired mostly by overall struggle. But most importantly it was inspired by his brother "Rotten Ralphie" who's currently doing a two year bid at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone, NY about 20 minutes from Canada. "I was speaking to my brother on the phone last week and he told me that his son (my nephew) was crying on the phone and when they got off the phone he started throwing away his toys. See, we've been telling my nephew that his fathers working. So he felt selfish and felt like he just wanted his dad home that he didnt need toys or shit like that. I don't really know, the whole concept just touched me. That much emotion from a 3 year old is unreal."- Otis Clapp

This song is off OTiS CLaPP's new album entitled, "Welcome II Nowhere" which is scheduled to be independently released in spring of 2010.

I like it. I like the fact that you allow yourself to be somewhat volunerable by sharing with others some of the pesonal things that you have to deal with and what your nephew as well is going through.
